After getting the Champions League off to a good start with a win over Milan, Liverpool will follow things up by facing a disappointing Bologna side. Much has changed since last season for both of them, but Bologna’s break-in of a new manager and key players at several positions will make this a difficult match against Liverpool finding their feet under Arne Slot. It is Bologna’s first time in Europe’s top competition since the 1964-65 European Cup and they are also struggling in league play where they sit 13th in Serie A play.

Liverpool: Defensively, the Reds have been the strongest setup in the Premier League allowing just two goals in league play so far. With Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz, Liverpool also have plenty of attacking threats for Bologna to try to deal with. Harvey Elliott will be the only absentee for Liverpool in the match as the Reds were able to avoid serious injuries to start the season.
