Mexico: With El Tri struggling for years under various managers, it is quite a moment for Aguirre and he has not hesitated to make bold calls in this squad. Raul Jimenez, Hirving Lozano and Guillermo Ochoa are all out of the squad, with Mexico what they have in other options around the squad. Edson Alvarez will also miss recovering from injury, but is still a strong enough attack to face New Zealand and Canada in matches.
New Zealand: After impressing at the Olympics, this is a chance for New Zealand to show they belong on the global stage. Mexico is a national team that is reelin, but New Zealand has also struggled outside of Oceana. While they are unbeaten in five consecutive games, that doesn’t mean theirs will be an easy match.
