Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love left Friday’s game in the final seconds against the Philadelphia Eagles with an apparent lower leg injury.
With five seconds left, Love was under duress when he tried to throw a Hail Mary but ended up throwing the ball back to Josh Jacobs for a minimal gain. Love was dropped and landed awkwardly on his leg. He remained down on the field, writhing in pain as he was tended to and then helped off the field by team doctor Pat McKenzie and trainer Nate Weir.
Center Josh Myers was also injured on the play and left the game. Green Bay backup quarterback Malik Willis entered the game for the final two games, throwing an incompletion and then taking a sack as the Packers fell 34-29 in Sao Paulo.
As the teams left the field, Jacobs and Weir appeared to help Love off the field after the game ended.
When asked about Love’s injury, Packers coach Matt LaFleur didn’t offer any answers.
“I don’t know,” LaFleur said repeatedly to questions about Love’s condition.
