A referee cracks a perfect podcast joke to Draymond during a Warriors game originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Warriors forward Draymond Green is still playing in the NBA, but — as many fans know — his media career is already taking off.
In fact, Green’s popular podcast is popular enough that even NBA referees tune in.
That revelation came during Green’s ever-entertaining mic on a segment of NBC Sports Bay Area during the 120-97 victory of the Warriors over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday at Chase Center.
“I listened to the first 10 minutes of your podcast,” referee Tyler Ford joked to Green before the game. “I don’t want to hear any feelings tonight.”
“Yes, sir,” Green replied.
As most might expect, that deal was … short-lived.
The mic’d up montage immediately cut to the particularly candid Green jokingly calling the referee about a missed bad call.
Granted, it seemed to be all in good fun, but Green sharing his “feelings” is pretty much a given for each and every game.
It’s also hard to imagine he’ll be any tougher on his podcast, whether or not he knows the zebras are tuning in.
